NEW ORLEANS, Louisiana—With Easter just around the corner, a chapel in New Orleans is now drawing about a thousand visitors a day. But instead of showing up for Mass, people are flocking there because of a shadow.
People think the shadow resembles Jesus.
The Ursuline sisters, who run the chapel, say a chandelier casts the shadow.
Even the youngest visitors say the sight means something special to them.
“It touched my heart very good and it felt like the whole world needed this. And it felt very good,” said little Melissa Davis.
The archbishop released a statement saying he doesn’t think the shadow is an apparition of Jesus, but it is a reminder to keep God in our daily lives.
