RED BUD, Illinois -- The southern Illinois holder of a ticket worth $218 million from the Mega Millions drawing remains a mystery. But that's not stopping the MotoMart convenience store that sold the ticket from sharing in some of the wealth.

Illinois Lottery superintendent Michael Jones on Thursday presented the convenience store's corporate parent FKG Oil a ceremonial $500,000 check.

The company in turn announced that the store's nine employees would split $50,000 of that.
Company officials say they're also willing to buy drinks for anyone in southern Illinois' Red Bud at a local tavern called the Office.

The lottery pays retailers a one-time winning ticket bonus of 1 percent of the jackpot amount up to $500,000.

It's still unclear who holds the ticket bought in Red Bud.

People in Maryland and Kansas also won the Mega Millions and - along with the winner in Red Bud - will split the more than $600-million jackpot.
