ST. LOUIS (KMOV.com) -- A woman is lucky to be alive after she was shot in the head while sitting in a car on a north St. Louis street Thursday morning.
It happened around 3 a.m. near the intersection of Carter and Red Bud avenues in the O'Fallons Park neighborhood.
According to reports, a man and a woman were sitting in a car when someone started shooting at their vehicle. Police said one of the bullets grazed the woman's head. The man was not injured.

The victims drove to a nearby fire station and the female victim was quickly transported to a St. Louis area hospital where, she was treated for her injury.
Authorities said she was released just a couple hours after the incident.
Police have not determined if the shooting was random or if the victim's were targeted. Officers later apprehended two suspects they believe are responsible for the shooting. They also recovered the weapon they think was used.
Authorities expect to release more information after completing an investigation.
