ST. LOUIS (KMOV) -- The executive director of the Greater St. Louis Major Case Squad is accused driving while intoxicated early Sunday, News 4 has confirmed.

Chesterfield police say Bob Bauman was taken into custody at a DWI checkpoint in the 14000 block of Clayton Road around 1 a.m.

Police said he was arrested on suspicion of operating a motor vehicle while intoxicated. He bonded out later Sunday.

Bauman said he “had no comment on the matter” when reached by a News 4 reporter late Monday afternoon.

Charges will be presented to the Chesterfield prosecutor for consideration.
