ST. CHARLES, Missouri (KMOV) -- A St. Charles man is in custody after he allegedly beat his elderly mother on March 23.
William D. Greer, 47, was charged with domestic assault and is being held on a $30,000 bond.
According to police, Greer struck his 70-year-old mother in the face, pushed her against some wooden chairs and pushed her to the floor. He then stood over her and cursed at her.
The woman then drove to the St. Charles Police Department and filed the complaint with a "great deal of bruising to her jaw and lower lip," according to the police statement.
Greer later told police he grabbed his mother's mouth and pushed her after she yelled at him.
Police said Greer had already been convicted twice of domestic assault in 2002 and 2003.
Greer had been living with his mother when the incident occurred.
