ST. LOUIS (AP) -- A federal judge has granted a three-week delay in the trial of a former Missouri political operative charged in a suburban St. Louis parking garage bombing that injured an attorney.
The St. Louis Post-Dispatch reported that the trial for 40-year-old Milton "Skip" Ohlsen III was pushed back to June 13.
Authorities believe the Oct. 15, 2008, bombing in Clayton was actually intended for the attorney who represented Ohlsen's ex-wife in their divorce case. He drove an Acura similar to one driven by the injured attorney and parked in the same garage.
Defense attorney Adam Fein said Friday that staff needed more time to review with Ohlsen hours of conversations recorded on a seized laptop, as well as years of recorded jail phone calls.
Prosecutors didn't object to the delay.
