ST. LOUIS (KMOV) – A man was charged Monday in the fatal shooting of his wife outside a north St. Louis County salon over the weekend.
Marion Lamont Arrington, 43, was charged with second-degree murder and armed criminal action. He surrendered at the St. Louis Metropolitan Police department Monday morning.

Police said Arrington shot his wife, 33-year-old Jamie L. Fields-Arrington, in a parking lot outside the Headlines Beauty Salon in the 7900 block of Page on Saturday.
Police said Fields-Arrington then walked into the salon and collapsed on the floor. Emergency crews responded to the scene and took her to a nearby hospital, where she later died.
Authorities say Arrington worked as a probation and parole officer with the State of Missouri.
Police said witnesses reported seeing an argument between the couple in a vehicle in the parking lot outside the salon before the shooting.
Arrington has no previous convictions of violent crimes, but has had three orders of protection filed against him by a former wife.
He remains in custody on a $250,000 cash-only bond.
