(KMOV.com) -- A multi-vehicle accident forced authorities to shut down northbound lanes of Route 3 in Granite City, Illinois Friday morning.
According to reports, the accident happened around 6:45 a.m. at the intersection of Route 3 and 20th Street.
Video from Sky Zoom 4 showed that two vehicles were involved in the accident. One vehicle rolled over and was upside down. Northbound Route 3 was shut down while crews worked to clear the wreckage.
An ambulance was also on the scene, but no serious injuries were reported.
The accident has since been cleared and the northbound lanes of Route 3 are open.
According to Granite City Assistant Police Chief Jeff Connor, the driver who caused the accident was charged with a DUI.
