ST. LOUIS (KMOV) -- A 75-year-old widow and her disabled son have received an outpouring of support after the man’s wheelchair-accessible van was stolen over the weekend.

Grace Kuehl said her 2003 Dodge Caravan, which is equipped with a motorized lift chair, was stolen Sunday morning.

When the insurance company couldn’t provide a lift van, Kiel requested a smaller car so her son Teddy could get in and out of the vehicle.

A local attorney visited the Kuehl residence on Thursday and was helping Grace fill out her insurance papers with an insurance adjuster.

Alan Brown, a representative from the customized van line National Mobility Dealers, was also on hand. He stopped by to tell Grace about a contest involving National Mobility Dealers.

Starting Friday, anyone with a computer can log onto their website and vote for Grace to win a brand-new customized van.
