No foul play determined in missing metro east man's death

(KMOV.com) -- The death of a missing man found in the Alby Quarry in Alton, Illinois has been ruled an accident by the Madison County Coroner.

The Madison County Sheriff found Charles M. Roe, 36, on February 24.

Police later learned that Roe had an interest in heavy machinery and would go to the quarry to watch the day-to-day operations.

The investigation showed no foul play or evidence of suicidal behavior.

The autopsy shows Roe's traumatic injuries were a result from a fall.

The investigation is now closed.
