(KMOV) – University City High School was forced to close early Friday morning due to a water main break.
District officials say the school lost heat to significant portions of the building and closed at 9:15 a.m.
Officials say buses still ran to transport students home.
No other school in the district was affected.
The water main break was the latest among dozens that have happened in the St. Louis area this week due to bitter cold temperatures.
On Thursday night, a water main broke in Maryland Heights, shooting water as high as 40 feet into the air.
