(KMOV) -- Gibault Catholic High School in Waterloo had their fourth snow day on Thursday but students haven't missed any class.
"We call them (snow days) a lot. Last year I'd wait till the last moment holding out hope we don't have to call off school. Now if there is even a chance I think we have a snow day, I'll just call off by noon," said Principal Russ Hart.
The school replaces snow days with electronic learning days, by using the "My Big Campus" website. Principal Russ Hart says the initial fee to use the program is free, and it’s inexpensive to continue. This is what teachers use to post the lesson.
To make this work, students are required to have a computer device and no one is allowed to say the internet was down. Students also have to check in online with their homeroom teacher by 9:00a.m.
Hart said other schools are asking for help. He will be meeting with other principals next week to teach them about his e-learning program.
