(KMOV) – A water pipe break forces St. Louis County police to temporarily relocate its communications center on Wednesday.

Police say the emergency call center was transferred to an operations building in Chesterfield while repairs were being made.

Officials say their computer reports center was also moved to central police records.

Police say all phone numbers stayed the same and there was never a lapse in communication.

Bitter cold conditions earlier in the week continued to cause a multitude of main breaks and pipe bursts throughout the St. Louis area on Wednesday.
