NEW YORK – Rams defensive end Robert Quinn and punter Johnny Hekker were named to the 2013 First-Team All Pro Team on Friday, the first Rams to be first-teamers in 10 years.

Quinn led the NFC with 19 sacks this season, finishing second in the NFL only to Indianapolis Colts outside linebacker Robert Mathis. It was the most sacks by a Rams since it became an official statistic in 1982.  He also forced seven fumbles and led the team with 18 tackles for loss.

Hekker set a new NFL single-season record after averaging 44.2 net yards per punt, breaking Andy Lee’s 2011 record of 44. Opponents averaged only 2.6 yards per return against Hekker, the lowest in the NFL. He also placed 19 punts inside the opponent’s 20-yard line.

Quinn and Hekker are the first Rams to make First-Team NFL All-Pro since Leonard Little, Torry Holt and Orlando Pace earned the honors in 2003.
