(KMOV.com) – St. Louis police will have extra patrols out looking for impaired drivers throughout New Year's Eve and New Year's Day.
Last year, New Year's Eve and New Year's Day saw the most traffic accidents at night since 2007
According to the Missouri State Highway patrol and the St. Louis Post-Dispatch, there were 64 accidents last year on Missouri roadways during New Year's Eve and New Year's Day.
Of those accidents, 49 of them took place between 6 p.m. and 6 a.m.
