(KMOV.com) -- St. Louis Police are searching for suspects in four separate shootings that left three people dead and five others injured within five miles of North City.
Homicide detectives were called to the 4000 block of Peck around 1:45 p.m. where multiple people were shot. Police said a 51-year-old black female and a 32-year-old black male were pronounced dead at a local hospital. A 23-year-old black male was also transported to the hospital where he is listed in critical and unstable condition. Police said a fourth victim suffered a minor graze wound.
Authorities reported the second shooting incident in the 5300 block of North Euclid less than four miles away from the first incident. Two victims sustained injuries, but their conditions are unknown.
Officers then responded to the third shooting near I-70 and Kingshighway where police said one victim was shot. The condition of the victim is not known.
A portion of westbound I-70 was shut down due to the shooting, but is back open as of 5 p.m.
Early Monday morning, homicide detectives responded to a fourth shooting at 11th and Montgomery at 1:30 a.m. A man was found shot in the chest in the passenger seat of a vehicle. The driver of the vehicle was unknown. Police describe the male as being between 20 and 30 years-old.
Police said the incidents do not appear to be related, but the investigation is ongoing.
