(KMOV.com) – Police are investigating after two men were shot at in downtown St. Louis, 24 hours after a man was injured in a drive-by shooting in the same area.

Police say the victims were sitting in a car parked near the intersection of Washington and 20th around 1:45 a.m. when they saw two men walk past their vehicle revealing guns and pointing them in their direction.

The driver of the vehicle backed from the parking spot and was trying to drive away when the victims heard gun shots.

None of the victims were hit, though the vehicle sustained bullet holes through both rear passenger windows.

The victims then went to a nearby police substation and reported the incident.

On Thursday, two men were sitting in a vehicle outside the City Lounge at the same intersection when someone in a moving vehicle started shooting.

One of the victims was shot in the back and was transported to the hospital critical condition.  The other victim was grazed in the upper back thigh and was treated on the scene.

Police say they do not believe the two incident are related.
