ST. LOUIS (AP) -- A St. Louis native who co-founded the social networking Twitter site will be awarded the Key to the City.
Jack Dorsey helped create "tweets," short electronic messages of 140 characters or less widely used to communicate.
Dorsey was scheduled to speak at 10 a.m. Friday at Webster University in Webster Groves. He'll later visit St. Louis City Hall at 2 p.m. to be honored by Mayor Francis Slay with the key and a proclamation.
