EDWARDSVILLE - A Granite City man was charged Wednesday with aggravated battery for allegedly punching his mother-in-law during a domestic dispute at the home they shared.
Francis McRoberts, 24, of the 2600 block of Guth Place was named in warrants issued Wednesday, said Lt. Thomas "Mike" Dixon of the Madison County Sheriff's Department.
The warrants charge McRoberts with aggravated battery with intent to cause great bodily harm and criminal damage to property. Both charges are felonies. Bond was set at $45,000, and McRoberts was held at the Madison County Jail in Edwardsville.
