Man gets 28 years in crash that killed three

EDWARDSVILLE - A Granite City man with a history of DUI arrests

received a 28-year prison sentence Tuesday for a crash that killed a

man, his wife and their unborn child back in February.

Madison County State's Attorney William A. Mudge announced Tuesday

morning that his office has accepted a plea involving Donald W.

Canterbery.

"Twenty-eight years is the maximum sentence in this case. I am

grateful that this came to a speedy conclusion, saving the families

further heartache and grief that comes with a trial," Mudge said.
