(KMOV.com) -- Lincoln County Sheriff’s Department arrested a woman after police said she allegedly assaulted her husband and bit him.
Officials said 52-year-old Laura Tannehill forcefully placed a .22 Ruger revolver to her husband’s temple which caused swelling and bruising.
According to police, Tannehill removed the gun and then leaned over and bit the victim on his nose, causing it to bleed.
The victim attempted to leave the house, when Tannehill hit him several times with the gun on his back, police said.
Police were able to obtain the gun from Tannefill and found seven live rounds and one spent casing in the gun.
The incident happened in the 100 block of Green Oak Lane in Troy, Mo.
Police reported Tannehill was visibly intoxicated and arrested for felony first degree Domestic Assault, Armed Criminal Action and Unlawful use of a Weapon. She is currently being held in jail on a $100,000 cash only bond.
