(KMOV.com) An Imperial man has turned himself into the St. Louis County Police Department after he stole $15,000 dollars worth of gold from a Fenton pawn shop on July 11th.
Rodney N. Mathes, 46, is charged with second degree burglary and stealing. The burglary happened just after 1 a.m. in the 400 block of Gravois in Fenton.According to an employee, Mathes used a crowbar to bust out the glass on the front door to the building before entering.Surveillance video shows Mathes head straight for the display case once inside the store. Mathes stole $15,000 worth of gold and jewelry.
A $30,000 cash only bond was set.
