(KMOV) – One man is dead and several other people injured after a two-vehicle wreck near Union early Sunday morning.
According to the Missouri State Highway Patrol, 25-year-old Brandon Janssen was driving on Highway 50 just west of Old Highway 50 around 1:50 a.m. when he crossed the center line and slammed into another car.
Janssen was pronounced dead at the scene. The passenger in his vehicle, 26-year-old Ignacio Serna, was taken to Mercy Hospital in serious condition.
The driver of the other vehicle involved, Darren Gambin, was airlifted to Mercy Hospital with numerous fractures and broken bones. His wife, Casey Gambin, also suffered broken bones.
Two other people in their car were transported to the hospital with minor to moderate injuries.
The cause of the wreck was unknown.
