(KMOV)—Thieves stole two air-conditioning units from a church in the Pagedale neighborhood on Wednesday.
Workers thought the air conditioners were broken at the First Community Baptist Church but later discovered the A/C units were missing from behind the building on Pagedale.
“This is actually the first church I can recall; it’s the first unit to have been taken within a month’s time. We have had some thefts previously. We are aggressively fighting the theft of units, taking of the copper,” said Lt. Corey Stayton of the Pagedale Police Department.
Pagedale Police recently arrested three suspected copper thieves but recommend business to install wire cages around their A/C units to make them harder to steal.
