(KMOV.com) – St. Louis police said one of its officers is expected to be okay after another policeman accidently shot him.
Authorities said the incident occurred close to 11 a.m. Thursday in the 3700 of Keokuk in south St. Louis.
Police said the two officers were responding to a theft call when a dog began attacking the victim. Concerned about his partner, the other officer attempted to shoot the dog but police said the bullets hit the victim in the ear and arm.
Authorities said the officer was transported to Saint Louis University hospital and is expected to be okay.
