NORTH ST. LOUIS, Mo. (KMOV)—Two people were injured during an attempted robbery in north St. Louis early Wednesday morning.
Around 2 a.m., police said, a man with a gun tried to rob another man on the 4600 block of Page Avenue, but the would-be victim also had a gun. When the suspect announced a robbery, he pulled the trigger and shot the victim in the hand. The victim then pulled out a gun and fired several shots at the attacker.
The victim was taken to an area hospital for treatment. According to police, a short time later, another person arrived at a hospital with a bullet graze wound on thier head.
Police reported the patient's graze wound is consistent with the victim's account of the altercation along with other evidence.
Both men's injuries are not considered to be life threatenig.
Police are questioning the men and an investigation is ongoing.
