(KMOV.com) -- The Missouri Highway Patrol is urging drivers to be extra cautious on the roads Tuesday night.
Extra troopers will be on duty to assist stranded motorists, and will be on the sides of the highways and overpasses.
They’ll also be looking for aggressive drivers going too fast for conditions, focusing on exit ramps and overpasses where slick spots can be very dangerous.
“You have sections of roadways that are high and get a lot of wind,” said MHP Sergeant Al Nothum. “When the wind blows, it’s colder and it freezes it fast and you gotta look out for those areas. Never know where they’ll be at.”
