It appears St. Louis could be making a run at hosting a future Olympics.
The U.S. Olympic Committee sent a letter to Mayor Francis Slay to find out if the city is interested in bidding for the 2024 games.
St. Louis hosted the summer games in 1904, the same year the World’s Fair was held in the Gateway City.
It was the first time a city outside of Europe hosted the games. It was also the first time boxing was included in the Olympics.
