Fatigues-wearing bank robbery suspect flees scene on ATV
Police believe the suspect was driving an ATV that looked very similar to this one By KMOV Web Producer
(KMOV) – Authorities are looking for a man who allegedly robbed a Collinsville bank, then fled the scene on an all-terrain vehicle on Friday.
Police said a man somewhere between 5'8'' and 5'10'' wearing camouflaged clothing and goggles approached two tellers servicing the parking lot ATM of the First Collinsville Bank in the 2700 block of Maryville Road around 10:20 a.m.
According to police, the suspect was driving what they believe to be a 2004-2102 Club Car UTV with a hydraulic dump bed, "Manley stickers on the front and "TTG MIke Meurer sticker on the drivers side. Police say he told the bank tellers to move out of the way. He then removed canisters containing an unknown amount of cash and fled the scene.
The suspect never displayed a weapon, police said.
