CHESTERFIELD (KMOV.com) - Missouri Department of Transportation crews were expected to start blasting rock near the Boone Bridge on Tuesday afternoon.
The blasting is part of a project to build a new eastbound bridge span for Highway 40 between Chesterfield and St. Charles County.
MoDOT says traffic will stop at Highway 94 and at Boone's Crossing. The delay due to the explosion is supposed to last 10 minutes.
MoDOT says it will be blasting every weekday. The first highway closure will not occur until Thursday.
