(HockeyStL) -- Nothing, not even the flu, will stop Alex Steen from the roll that he is on.
After not scoring a goal in the first 10 games, Steen has potted a goal in each of the last four games. It’s the longest scoring streak of his career.
Steen scored 13 minutes and 49 seconds into the first period and extended the Blues lead to 3-0 at the time. It was one of four goals scored by the Blues in the period.
He also was credited with an assist on the first goal of the game scored by Jaden Schwartz. Steen made a great play to keep the puck inside the offensive blue line and gave a great feed to Schwartz in front of Flames goalie Leland Irving. From there, Schwartz dangled his way to a backhanded goal.
Steen also assisted on David Perron's second goal in the third period.
The two assists and goal extended Steen’s point streak to five games.
