ST. LOUIS (KMOV) – St. Louis Community College at Forest Park cancelled classes and the St. Louis Zoo had to use generator power after an outage Thursday night.
The approximately two-hour outage also affected some surrounding neighborhoods.
Jack Grisham, Vice President of Animal Collections at the St. Louis Zoo, said backup sources had kept power running in the zoo. He said there were no issues with the animals.
Ameren Missouri said power to the area was restored around 7pm.
Ameren workers are still trying to zero in on what caused the outage around 5pm Thursday.
