IMPERIAL, Missouri (KMOV) – Authorities say they made two more arrests the alleged robbing and abducting of an Imperial woman late last month.
Fines E. Spiller and Jah’me C. Taylor have each been charged with first-degree robbery and armed criminal action. Their accused accomplice, Jeffery Smith, was arrested on the same charges earlier this month.
Jefferson County officials said the victim was in her vehicle in the 5200 block of Lakewood Landing around 1:30 a.m. on March 31 when two of the suspects approached with two semi-automatic handguns.
Police said one of the men struck the victim with the pistol and demanded money and keys before forcing her into the trunk of her vehicle
The suspects then got into the vehicle and fled the scene.
Police said the victim was able to open the trunk from the inside and escaped the vehicle.
Arnold Police say they eventually spotted the victim’s vehicle and with the help of St. Louis County and SGHP Police, they pursued the car.
The pursuit ended on the Poplar Street Bridge when the vehicle was disabled.
The driver, Smith, was taken into custody.
Police initially could not find the other suspects but were able to identify them after an investigation.
Taylor and Smith are each being held in the Jefferson County Jail on $250,000 cash bonds. Spiller is currently held in East St. Louis awaiting extradition, and his bond is set at $200,000 cash.
