Charter shuffles channel line-up; DVRs could be affected

ST. LOUIS (KMOV) – Cable company Charter Communication is changing its channel lineup in certain sections of the St. Louis-area, so you may need to reprogram your DVR if your shows were moved to a different channel.

Charter began making the changes on April 11 and will continue through April 23. The company says it’s reorganizing the lineup to make it easier for customers to find their favorite channels. Charter is also adding 28 new High Definition channels.

 Charter says customers should reprogram all DVR series with the new channel location prior to the roll-out date.

The changes will be made in each community on the following days:

Wednesday, April 11: Warrenton, MO; Waterloo, IL;  Alton, IL; Maryville, IL

Tuesday, April 17: Warrensburg, MO; Osage Beach, MO; Cuba, MO; Clinton, MO;

Wednesday, April 18:  Farmington, MO; Cape Girardeau, MO; Sikeston, MO; Florissant, MO; Ferguson, MO; Jennings, MO

Thursday, April 19: St. Louis City, MO; Overland, MO; St. Charles, MO

Saturday, April 21:  Barnhart, MO; Olivette, MO (also includes suburban cities near St. Louis metro that are not specifically mentioned but have Charter service such as Chesterfield, MO; Ballwin, MO; Town and Country, MO; Manchester, MO; Creve Coeur, MO; Kirkwood, MO; etc)

Tuesday, April 24: Breese, IL; Belleville, IL; Cahokia, IL; Scott Air Force Base, IL; East St. Louis, IL; Centralia, IL; Mt. Vernon, IL
