ST. CHARLES, Missouri -- The former police chief in St. Charles is getting a $59,000 payout.
Dennis Corley's tenure as chief ended Sunday. Mayor Sally Faith declined to say if she asked Corley to leave, but told the St. Louis Post-Dispatch that she supports him in that decision. Corley has declined comment.
Corley's employment agreement with the city calls for him to get a lump-sum amount equal to six months of salary and benefits if he is removed as chief. His most recent salary was nearly $119,000.
