ST. LOUIS (KMOV) -- Police arrested a suspect accused of shooting a man twice inside his home near downtown St. Louis on Sunday
Police said a 17-year-old man was sitting inside his house in the 1100 block of Long Way around 6 p.m. when he was shot twice in the thighs.
The victim was transported to the hospital and remains stable.
Officers in the area saw the suspect, 19, running from the scene and grabbing his waistband as if to hide a weapon.
Authorities said the suspect was taken into custody in the 1700 block of Preservation Place.
A gun was later recovered near the shooting scene, according to police.
