ST. LOUIS (KMOV) -- The remains of a fallen soldier are now home.
The body of Specialist Jeffrey White Jr. of Catawissa arrived at Lambert Airport on Saturday. The 21-year-old was killed in Afghanistan on April 3 when a road-side bomb exploded near his Humvee.
Despite the rain, supporters came out to pay their respects along the 40-mile procession from Lambert to the Bell Funeral Home in Pacific, Missouri.
White would have come home in September, and had 11 months left on his enlistment.
White's funeral is set for Wednesday. He will be buried at Jefferson Barracks National Cemetery.
