ST. CHARLES, Mo. (KMOV) -- Dennis Corley resigned as St. Charles chief of police on Friday, a month after a vote of no confidence by the city police association.
Corley, a 20-year veteran of the force, announced he will leave his post on Sunday, April 15. Police officials said Mayor Sally Faith is in the process of selecting an interim chief and will make an appointment "in the near future."
The St. Charles Police Officers Association took the no-confidence vote in regards to Chief Dennis Corley, Major Donovan Kenton and Captain Paul West after meeting with human resources to outline around 70 complaints against them.
Corley had been police chief in St. Charles since 2007.
