CLAYTON, Missouri -- A St. Louis County man faces sentencing June 14 after being convicted in the beating death of a 2-year-old girl.
The St. Louis Post-Dispatch reports that 35-year-old Marquicio Johnson was found guilty late Tuesday of second-degree murder while in the commission of another felony.
Authorities say Orionis Barron-Taylor was found dead on Dec. 16, 2009, three days after her second birthday. She had burns, a lacerated liver, a cracked skull and several bruises. Johnson was the boyfriend of the girl's great-aunt.
