Police catch 2 in "rolling meth lab" chase

ST. ANN, Mo. (KMOV) -- St. Ann police say they have busted a man and woman after chasing a suspected "rolling meth lab."

Police say the suspects were chucking evidence out of the window while police were in pursuit.

The whole thing started about 10 p.m. Thursday when an officer spotted a man who is considered to be a known meth dealer and manufacturer at a north St. Louis County gas station. The suspect was with a woman in a red Ford Bronco.  Police say the officer ran the plates on the SUV, but they came back to another vehicle. When the officer tried to pull the suspect over he sped off. The officer gave chase.

The chase went through parts of Maryland Heights and ended up near the Jewish Community Center in Creve Coeur. Police say along the way evidence was being thrown out of the window of the Bronco.

A woman in the SUV was arrested after the Bronco stopped. The man was arrested a short time later.

Police said they recovered chemicals from the Bronco used to produce meth along with several needles.
Police said they have been after the suspect for "quite some time" and were glad to get him off the streets.
The names of the suspects are expected to be released after charges are filed.
