Catawissa, Mo. (KMOV) – A 21-year-old soldier from Catawissa was killed on April 3 after his unit was attacked in Afghanistan.
Spc. Jeffrey L. White died from wounds suffered from an improvised explosive device in Khost province, Afghanistan, according to the Department of Defense.
Spc. White was assigned to the 1st Battalion (Airborne), 501st Infantry Regiment, 4th Brigade Combat Team (Airborne), 25th Infantry Division, Joint Base Elmendorf-Richardson, Alaska.
