(KMOV) -- A series of storms swept through the St. Louis area on Thursday, downing trees and damaging homes and cars throughout the region. The good news? Conditions are going to be much, much better this weekend.

Friday morning's temperatures were in the mid-40s alongside windy and cloudy conditions.

Temperatures are expected to reach a high of about 50 by about 2 p.m., with no rain in the forecast through the rest of the vening.

Saturday will be mostly sunny and dry with temperatures reaching the upper 50s by the afternoon. 

Sunday will again be clear as temperatures hit the 60s.
