(KMOV.com) – Laclede Gas is giving customers until the end of April to sign up for the Missouri Cold Weather Rule.
The Missouri Cold Weather Rule is a lenient payment plan for customers who have fallen behind on their accounts.
Traditionally, Laclede offers the rule from November through March to allow eligible customers to continue their gas service or restore gas service by making an initial payment and beginning a 12-month plan.
“We know that some customers are struggling this year after the unusually harsh winter. And we are always looking for ways to help our customers. By choosing to extend Missouri’s Cold Weather Rule past March, customers on fixed incomes can spread these costs over a longer period of time,” said Ron Crow, vice president of Customer Experience for Laclede Gas.
More than 40,000 Laclede Gas customers utilize the Cold Weather Rule payment plan.
Laclede Gas encourages customers to call the company to find out about payment options if they are struggling to make payments. Customers can call (314) 621-6960 in St. Louis or (800) 887-4173 if elsewhere.
