(KMOV) – The Missouri Department of Transportation will close the Chesterfield Parkway West overpass over Interstate 64 at midnight to begin construction on a new $4.2 million overpass.
According to MoDOT, the bridge will close for four months while crews work to remove the bridge and replace it with a new, wider bridge.
The bridge will go from a five-lane to an eight-lane overpass and will include eight-foot sidewalks on both sides of the bridge.
During construction, drivers are encouraged to use Olive Boulevard and Clarkson Road as detours.
The bridge is expected to reopen in August.
