(KMOV) – As the popularity of electronic cigarettes grows, Poison Control Centers issue more warnings about the risks the E-Cigarettes impose.
The American Association of Poison Control issued a new warning for parents and the possible safety risks for children who come in contact with the device. Reports show that kids exposed to the device or the liquid nicotine inside can become very ill with symptoms of nausea and vomiting. In some severe cases, children have been hospitalized.
Officials say it is important that users of the E-Cigarette device properly dispose of it to decrease the risk of exposure.
If you think your child has been exposed to an E-Cigarette or liquid nicotine, contact your local poison center.
