(KMOV) – Mehlville School District Superintendent Dr. Eric D. Knost was granted exit from his current contract and is a finalist for a similar job.
In his letter posted on the Mehlville District’s Facebook page, Knost explains his request came after he was named a finalist for the same job with the Rockwood School District.
“While I have never expressed an interest in leaving my current post, this opportunity brings a new challenge to my career as an educational leader,” he stated.
Knost first made headlines when he recommended smaller class sizes for the Mehlville School District, which limited the number of transfer students the district would be able to accept from nearby unaccredited school districts.
Knost leaves the Mehlville School District in June.
