Residents looking to Metro-East officials in response to pothole problems

(KMOV.com) -- A Metro-East street, plagued with dozens of potholes, has residents looking to the city for answers.
Residents along the 400 block of North 22nd Street in East St. Louis say the street has been in disrepair for far too long as potholes have been present for year. One resident even puts dirt in the holes himself because they say the city won’t help.
“I’ve been trying. Gone down to the mayor’s office a couple times,” said resident Thomas Edwards, “They tell me it’s on the agenda, but it hasn’t happened yet.”
East St. Louis has not commented on the situation.
