ST. LOUIS (KMOV.com) -- The state of Missouri ranks seventh in the country for structurally deficient bridges, according to a national safety report.
"Transportation for America" ranks U.S. bridge safety based on a number of factors, including number of bridges, percentage of faulty bridges and average traffic on roadways. With nearly 24,000 bridges and more than 4,000 considered "deficient," Missouri has one of the worst bridge safety ratings.
