ST. CHARLES, Mo (KMOV.com) -- A St. Charles man was was already facing charges for a meth lab explosion that burned down his farm and injured a woman, added more to his plate Monday.
53-year-old Dale Lenze has picked up another meth manufacturing charge after police went to his home and said they smelled chemicals.
When Social Services employees decided to check on the children living at the house in the 2800 block of Essex Street, a St. Charles County Sheriff’s Department deputy went with them.
Once inside the home, police say the deputy found severl meth-cooking ingredients along with a strong chemical smell.
Drug Task Force officers responded to the scene, and the Lenze arrived home a short time later. When he arrived police say they found more drugs and manufacturing materials in his car. He was arrested and held on $40,000 cash-only bond.
