ST. LOUIS COUNTY (KMOV.com) -- Authorities issued warrants on Saturday against a Chesterfield man and woman wanted by several municipalities for a string of bank robberies stretching across the bi-state area.

Darren Everett, 42, and Mackenzie Leonard, 26, were each charged with three counts of first-degree robbery, and one count of armed criminal action.

Town and Country police took the pair into custody on Friday, wanted in connection to a robbery at the First Bank in Chesterfield on Jan. 30.

According to police, Everett and Mackenzie are suspects in two robberies in St. Louis County, and a third robbery in Town and Country.

Authorities said the pair may be linked to a bank robbery in Columbia, Ill. on Feb. 4. In the Town and Country and Columbia bank robberies, a suspect was seen wearing a wig.

The FBI joined detectives from several police departments in the investigation that identified the suspects.

Everett and Leonard are each being held on $500,000 bond.
